  • Have exams proctored using the Testing Center

     

  • Use examples and place them in Blackboard

  • Following the exam provide feedback

     

  • Build a practice test to make sure students do not have any technical difficulty and know what format to expect for assessments in the course

     

  • Have students create portfolios or projects to assess the skills and knowledge of the students

     

  • Establish time-windows for each task given

     

  • "Lie to students".  Inform students of earlier deadlines to create extra time between assignments

     

  • Enforce a valid excuse policy

     

  • All assessments should be "learning tools"

     

  • Create interactive PowerPoint’s that quiz students

     

  • Spread out events on the calendar to establish a routine 

     

     
  • Use discussion board to "collect option in blackboard" messages and view all messages for grading: discussion board>>select forum>>select the "show option tab">>select all messages you wish to collect>>choose the collect button
